The 10 CHALLENGES
FACED BY WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS...
(AND HOW WE'RE GOING TO OVERCOME THEM)
Let's get honest and talk about the many challenges we face as women in business. I'm tired of seeing all the same nonsense online about "how to make £6zillion in 3 weeks by following this latest super formula for success."
It's not helpful - in fact, it's damaging.
Growing a business is a gradual process and best done on solid foundations. Whilst more women than ever are setting up in business, few are doing so with the right support and knowledge in place to succeed in the longer term. We continue to see businesses closing down daily as founders seek and return to the 'safety' of employment instead.
And we can’t get away from the fact that being a female founded business owner brings its own specific challenges.
But with the right support, we can be a powerful force to be reckoned with. Let's get honest and talk about it together.

I'm Rachel Flower, qualified commercial lawyer and coach to business leaders. I've been running my own business for over 12 years, and in that time have also helped hundreds of businesses (of all shapes and sizes) to grow and overcome challenges. I love having honest conversations with established business owners about what's working and what not working in your business.
After over 20+ years supporting businesses with legal and commercial challenges, I've seen the good the bad and the ugly. I love to talk about what it takes to succeed in business and my passion which is supporting, inspiring, protecting and championing female entrepreneurs.
There are common problems and very specific challenges for women.
For example, it’s estimated that around 70% of female business owners generate an income of less than £25,000 per annum, with only 5% generating more than £100,000 per annum. This is due to a myriad of issues, including lack of self-belief, lack of trusted resources, inability to access a mentor to inspire and lead you forward.
I work with ambitious women who want to grow their business, and the startpoint is to ensure that the right foundations are in place for that growth. Getting you into a position where you can be proactive and manage risk before it knocks you down.
2023 is an incredible opportunity to review, reflect, re-commit to what matters. To lead yourself forward with renewed vigour. To get focussed, proactive and into action.

The unique challenges facing female business owners
The need for powerful female leadership, and building businesses with compassion, creativity and calm strength has never been more important. The voices of reason, kindness, honesty and collaboration need to be raised.
In this session we'll be talking about:
- the lack of centralised, cohesive training and support
- why so many of us suffer from lack of confidence and self-belief
- societal and cultural issues due to operating in a male-dominated environment
- the challenges around accessing funding and investment
- getting your business model protected and robust so it's sustainable
- the power of peer to peer support and mentoring (and how to find it)
We're going to be covering a lot of ground. But if you make the time for this conversation you're going to be taking that important step - to fi the problem, we have to be part of the solution. Join the conversation. Raise your awareness and your voice.
Too often, we are often our own worst enemies in that we lack ambition, we don’t put ourselves forward for opportunities, and put pressure on ourselves to move too fast (particularly for those who are also primary care givers in the home).
I'll be talking balance, calm, creativity and collaboration too. This is a "no hustle" zone. What got us here, won't get us there.
What we'll be talking about...

The challenges faced by female entrepreneurs
I've got my top 10 to talk to you about. The most important and relevant issues facing us as a collective right now. Which ones do you recognise? Which ones are getting in your way? Where are you getting blocked and frustrated or stuck? Tune in and let's get honest together about the challenges we face.

What women in business really need
This is how we take action. The truth of what is really going to move the needle for women in business. I'll give you the 5 most important things you can do (and we can do together). Yes, the answer is going to lie in collaboration and support. Together we're stronger. Don't do business alone. It's not our way.

How we can move forward together
This session is to inform, educate, inspire and help you to take the next step. Whether that's a baby step or a giant leap...doesn't matter. What matters is that you don't give up. Keep moving forward. That you ask for help and offer a hand to others too. Let's talk strategic action and compassionate collaboration.
Let's move forward together.
Business is about serving and helping people to solve problems. Most women love to help and love to serve, and that’s where our distinct edge lies as business leaders. Yes, you are a leader by default when you run a business. Your voice, your message, your passion, your impact and legacy. I'll be telling you how you can join a strong community led by trusted mentors, to work alongside a collaborative peer group, build your confidence by taking consistent action against a sensible business plan, and access ongoing commercial and legal training and support (ideally with funding to cement your progress). You get to decide that you’re going to be a powerful force to be reckoned with.
I mean, WE are going to be a powerful force to be reckoned with.
The future for women in business is collaboration.
Working together to share expertise, knowledge and experience. Supporting one another. Leading the way with love.
And that’s what will make all the difference.
