Power and presence

Hi, I’m Rachel — commercial lawyer, executive coach, leadership facilitator… and, above all, someone who’s deeply passionate about helping leaders create greater impact and find their voices.

I know what it's like to be the only woman in the room, to question your worth despite your accomplishments, and to yearn for a leadership style that feels authentically yours.

Over the last two decades, I’ve walked more than one path. I started out in the sharp suits and long hours of top-tier law firms (Addleshaw Goddard, DLA Piper), and went on to hold senior commercial roles in global businesses, including BT Global Services and more recently as Group Commercial Director at Servita. I’ve sat in boardrooms negotiating multi-million-pound contracts, built my own consultancy from the ground up, and co-founded networks and startups. All driven by a desire to do things differently.

Through navigating the complexities of corporate leadership and entrepreneurship, I've discovered that true success comes from aligning with one's values and embracing authenticity.

My work now is helping leaders grow.
Not just professionally — but into the boldest, most grounded, most confident version of themselves.

Women are a huge untapped talent within the UK and globally.

I've spent my corporate career working in law, technology and finance. I know first hand that sexism and misogyny in the workplace is still alive and well. Whilst we've made great leaps in the last 100 years, there is still a long way to go. That's why I love to work with senior leaders who are committed to an agenda of positive change.

Impact and Growth

I work with CEOs, lawyers, founders and senior leaders who want to lead with more impact and authenticity — without burning out, selling out, or shrinking to fit a mould that was never made for them.

Some come to me at a crossroads — sale of the business, stepping into a bigger role, leaving corporate to build something of their own, or trying to find their voice in a world that doesn’t always reward quiet power.

Others are tired and feeling stuck.

Wherever you are, I help you get clear on what matters. We focus on communicating with confidence, personal growth, strategy, ambition, and operating on solid foundations.

Working with me

I bring my whole self to the table — strategy, insight, humour, compassion, a knack for cutting through noise, and occasionally a Welsh idiom or two.

You won’t find any “one-size-fits-all” advice here.
You will find:

  • Honest, thoughtful, direct and challenging conversations

  • Practical tools and frameworks you can actually use, honed from decades of experience

  • A space where your ambition and your humanity are both welcome

Clients tell me they leave our sessions feeling clearer, braver, and more focussed on the impact they want to create. That’s exactly the point.

Too many women are stuck - undervaluing their worth, being passed by for promotion and holding themselves back.

I know what it feels like to be brilliant… and still play small.

To tick all the boxes and still feel like something’s missing.
To walk into rooms where your voice is welcome — but not really heard.
To carry the weight of potential that everyone else sees in you, but never quite know what to do with it.

I know what it’s like to work hard, lead well, raise others — and still wonder if you’re allowed to want more.
More clarity.
More confidence.
To bring more of you into the work you do.

I do this work because too many women are still twisting themselves into shapes that don’t fit, just to be taken seriously.

I’ve been the young woman in the boardroom, second-guessing every word and having to prove my worth.
The mum juggling and trying to hold everything together.
The senior leader balancing success on paper with exhaustion in her bones.

I do this work because…

  • I want to live in a world where women (and our daughters) don’t have to prove they belong in leadership — they just are.

  • I want senior leaders to lead with heart and compassion as well as logic and strategy.

  • I want founders to grow businesses that create enormous impact but don’t cost them their wellbeing.

  • I want teams to communicate like humans, not silos.

  • I want work to feel like purpose — not just pressure.

The deeper truth?

Because I needed this work, once. And I didn’t know where to find it. And it was lonely, and bewildering, and painful.

So now?
I become it.
For every woman still on the edge of her becoming.

I work with ambitious leaders ready to grow

Whether you’re:

  • A senior leader in law, finance, large corporate - sick of playing politics and ready to lead more powerfully on your own terms

  • A founder scaling a business that’s outgrown your energy (and your confidence)

  • A leader who knows they're capable of more, but needs support to gain clarity…

I help you get clear, confident and powerfully yourself —
so you can take up space, speak with conviction, and lead for the next stage of your journey.

If you're ready to redefine success on your terms and lead with authenticity, let's start this journey together.

Here's some interesting stats:

Stat 1

RBS has calculated that boosting female entrepreneurship could deliver approximately £60bn extra to the UK economy. (Anne McPherson, MD Diversity in Business, RBS, in the Guardian 10 April 2013).

Stat 2

UK Women’s businesses have a higher churn rate (ie. more start-ups and closures). But women are less likely to attribute closure to ‘business failure’ and more likely to cite ‘personal reasons’ – which peak at age 25-34 for women. (Women in Enterprise: A Different Perspective, RBS Group 2013)

Stat 3

Women account for under a third of those in self-employment, but over half the increase in self-employment since the recession started in 2008. Between 2008 and 2011 women accounted for an unprecedented 80% of the new self-employed. (Labour Force Survey, Office of National Statistics 2013).

Stat 4

An estimated 48 million female entrepreneurs and 64 million female established business owners currently employ one or more people in their businesses; seven million female entrepreneurs and five million established business owners are expected to grow their ventures by at least six employees in five years.(Global Report on Women and Entrepreneurship, GEM 2012)
In every single economy included in the study, women have lower capabilities perceptions than men. In every region, women have, on average, a greater level of fear of failure than men. (Global Report on Women and Entrepreneurship, GEM 2012)
